Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Fact Music Awards will be held online and with no audience. However, that does not stop BTS from performing at the awards show.

On October 19, the Fact Music Awards organizing committee announced that BTS would perform virtually at the awards show in early December. BTS has claimed four awards at the said ceremony, and there will be performances from other K-pop idols as well.

In March, the winners for The Fact Music Awards were announced, and BTS has won the Daesang Award, Listener’s Choice Award, Artist of the Year, and the TMA Popularity Award.

It was previously reported that BTS was to perform at The Fact Music Awards but was canceled to go live in February due to COVID-19 for the protection and safety of the artists, staff, and fans. The said awards show was going to be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome on February 29 with guest stars BTS, Super Junior, MONSTA X, TWICE, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, and more.

In other related news, the Military Manpower Administration has announced that BTS will not be given special military privilege regarding their mandatory service. However, the administration would be able to delay their enlistment.

During a parliamentary order, the Military Manpower Administration Chief stated that efforts are underway to enable such a delay for those who have outstanding achievements in Pop Culture such as BTS.

At the parliamentary meeting, the council has said that the number of South Korean men who enlist for the Military Service has been decreasing and added that fairness is essential for Military service.

However, the Military Manpower Administration ops to push a plan to allow public figures recommended by the culture minister, such as BTS, to delay Military Service.

BTS is in high regard for its achievements in promoting South Korean Culture and music as the group had continuously been able to spread the message of self-love and peace through their songs.

The K-pop sensations have been invited to deliver a speech at UNICEF on two occasions and was recently awarded the James A. Van Fleet Award for their musical efforts.
