The cast of the upcoming fantasy drama ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed Fox’ has been completed!

The participation of Lee Dong Wook and Jo Bo Ah as the main leads was confirmed in December 2019.

Casting Lee Dong Wook as the main lead settles the drama in the list for one of the most anticipated for 2020 due to his stunning performance in his previous role as a grim reaper in the hit drama ‘Goblin’. He seems to have a knack for playing fantasy roles.

In the drama, Lee Dong Wook will be playing as Lee Yeon, a male gumiho who once ruled as a living god of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range but now works as a public official between this world and the underworld, cleaning up the mess left behind by those who disturb the world of the living while hiding behind the guise of ghost tales.

Jo Bo Ah will be playing as Nam Ji Ah, a producing director for a program called ‘Finding Urban Legends.’ She may seem like your average director, but her colleagues describe her as a “gutsy woman.”

Meanwhile, the upcoming drama once again garnered attention after news of Kim Bum, joining the cast with a lead role, was released in April this year. This will be his first drama after being released from his military service and a lot of people are anticipating his return to the small screen.

Kim Bum will be playing as Lee Rang, the half-human-half-gumiho younger brother of Lee Yeon who harbors a deep contempt for humans despite living amongst them. He sometimes obliges to the wishes of humans, but at a terrible price. He is known to be the most dangerous gumiho in existence.

Actors Lee Tae Ri and Kim Yong Ji were also confirmed recently to have joined the cast as supporting characters.

With these casts alone, the drama is bound to succeed. The fantasy drama will air every Wednesday and Thursday starting on September 16!
