In celebration of the Cosmopolitan magazine's 20th anniversary, Ahn Hyo Seop appeared in an interview and photoshoot.

Ahn Hyo Seop shared a funny story of living out his fanboy dreams at the Baeksang Arts Award. He shared that from a very young age, he already liked Hyun Bin so much. And when Hyun Bin sat behind him, he was nervous and felt like he had chills going all the way up and down his spine. He wanted to greet Son Ye Jin and Namgoong Min, who were also there, but at that moment, he felt like it was such a long distance even when they are only two meters apart. He also felt like just being a burden when he went up to talk them because he considered them as such huge celebrities.

Ahn Hyo Seop also expressed his gratitude and respect for Han Suk Kyu, whom he worked with on "Dr. Romantic 2." He said that the advice shared by Han Suk Kyu saying 'The better you get, the more fun it becomes' keeps on reminding him. He can not even express just how those words caught him. But he added that it is even more accurate to say that he has now found the forest rather than displaying being able to see the forest. He may still be confused and in doubt about his acting, but he can now see a forest in the middle of it. He would try to learn and absorb everything.

Furthermore, as he revealed that he had recently grown an interest in philosophy, Ahn Hyo Seop said that it is a chance for him to change the way he thinks and understands. He added that he began thinking about placing rules upon himself that he did not even realize that it have stopped him from seeing a bigger and brighter world. It was like discovering his most real identity. The actor shared that he can now see a side of himself that he had never seen before when he set aside putting rules on himself.

He also talked about the values people in their twenties and thirties should have and said that regardless of gender, it is necessary to keep on searching for who they are and know their most real identity. "It might be painful when going through the process of understanding thoughts that affects the way we act and how our mind works, but when people learn to do it, they will find peace.
