Moon Ga Young, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, and Hwang In Yeob confirm to cast in tvN's upcoming drama "True Beauty."

Per Soompi, "True Beauty" is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. It is a romantic comedy following the story of Im Joo Kyung, who uses makeup due to her insecurities about her appearance and to make herself appear beautiful to the world. She then bumped with a boy with a hidden scar on his heart named Lee Su Ho, and their relationship grows as they share their secrets.

Playing the role of Im Joo Kyung, who doesn't want to be caught without makeup, is Moon Ga Young. She is an optimistic and bright highs school girl who, through wearing makeup, gains confidence.

The rookie actor who caught the public's eyes through his portrayal in "The Tale of Nokdu"- Hwang In Yeob will also be part of the drama. His role in his previous character impressed the viewers with his sharp look and martial arts skills.

Park Yoo Na was previously revealed to act the role of Kang Soo Jin, the Saebom High School's cool and feisty "goddess" but there has yet to be an update on the status of her casting.

According to the production team of "True Beauty," they have confirmed Moon Ga Young, Cha Eun Woo, and Hwang In Yeob as the main cast of the show. They expressed that the actors who highly resemble the original characters will give off refreshing and bright energy through their teamwork. "We will be greeting you with a lovely rom-com within the second half of the year. Please show lots of attention and anticipation for "True Beauty."

Kim Sang Hyub will be directing "True Beauty" who has led "Extraordinary You" and "The King Loves," and will be written by Lee Si Eun of the "Rude Miss Young Ae" series.
