The autopsy to determine the exact cause of death of the late singer Wheesung, who passed away on March 10, has been completed, and funeral proceedings will now take place.

On March 12, Wheesung's agency, Taejo Entertainment, stated, "The autopsy by the National Forensic Service was completed this morning." They continued, "Initially, the family intended to hold a private funeral due to concerns for Wheesung's mother's health, but after much deliberation, they have decided to allow those who loved and remembered Wheesung to join in honoring his memory."

The agency added, "For everyone who knew him, and for those who found even a moment of happiness through his songs and music, please do not hesitate to visit his memorial service. Your presence will ensure he does not take his final journey alone."

Wheesung's memorial service will be set up at Samsung Seoul Hospital's funeral hall starting March 14. The burial ceremony will take place on March 16, and he will be laid to rest at Gwangneung Memorial Park.

On March 10, Wheesung was staying at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, when his manager was unable to reach him by phone. Concerned, his mother visited the residence and found him collapsed in a state of cardiac arrest. She immediately called emergency services, but he was later pronounced dead.
