BTS's Jungkook has proven his unparalleled presence even during the military hiatus.

On April 10th, at 5:30 PM, the first 'Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2024' (ASIA STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS, abbreviated as ASEA 2024) was held at the K Arena Yokohama in Yokohama City, Japan, celebrating the unity of music, stars, and fans.

During the award ceremony, Jungkook's solo track 'Seven' was honored with the ASEA SONG OF THE YEAR, awarded to the song that received immense love globally.

Released in July of the previous year, 'Seven' made a spectacular debut on the Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' (July 29th issue), securing the 1st spot. It also clinched the 82nd position in the 'Hot 100 Songs' year-end chart for 2023. This achievement marked the first time a K-pop solo artist's work appeared on the chart since Psy's 'Gangnam Style' in 2012, 11 years ago.

Following 'Seven,' Jungkook continued his success streak with the single '3D' and his first solo album 'GOLDEN,' solidifying his status as a 'Global Pop Star.' According to the latest chart released by Billboard on April 2nd (local time), Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN' ranked 131st on the 'Billboard 200' main album chart for the week of April 6th. 'GOLDEN' has remained on the 'Billboard 200' for 21 consecutive weeks, setting a new record for the longest charting by a K-pop solo artist.

Jungkook enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the army last December and is currently serving his military duty.

The 'ASEA 2024' is organized by Newsen, South Korea's premier entertainment and sports media with a 19-year tradition, and the online entertainment media @star1, which has been publishing Star & Style Magazine for 12 years, along with the ASEA Organizing Committee and Japan's JoJo Town.
