Jungkook from BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) has proven his formidable solo power by winning four awards at the 'Melon Music Awards 2023' (MMA2023). On December 2, he took home the 'Best Solo Male', 'Hot Trend Award', 'Top 10 of the Year', and 'Millions Top 10'.

Previously, Jungkook consistently topped the Melon Weekly Popular Song TOP 20 with his solo single 'Seven' for four consecutive weeks and achieved first place once with his self-composed song 'Still With You', totaling five consecutive awards. He also attained the first place twice with '3D' and twice with the title track 'Standing Next to You' from his album 'GOLDEN', reigning the top spot a total of nine times.

In addition, 'Seven' hit number one on Melon's main 'Top 100' chart in just 11 hours, setting a remarkable record for 2023. He was the first male idol in 2023 to top the 'Top 100' chart, the first male artist of the year to lead the Melon Weekly Chart, and achieved the fastest 100,000 likes in 2023.

At the '2023 MAMA Awards' held on November 29, Jungkook won two awards: 'Best Dance Performance Male Solo' and 'Best Collaboration'. He also made history as the first Korean solo artist to win at major American music awards, claiming the 'Song of Summer' category at the '2023 MTV Video Music Awards' (MTV VMA) and both 'Best Song' and 'Best K-Pop' at the '2023 MTV Europe Music Awards' (MTV EMA). Additionally, he won the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' category at the '2023 Billboard Music Awards' (BBMAs).

Jungkook's debut solo album 'GOLDEN' quickly became a 'Double Million Seller', crossing 2 million sales within just five hours of release, and set a new record for the highest first-week sales (Chodong) by a K-pop solo artist. As of November 17, the album had sold 2,501,158 copies, becoming the first solo album to surpass 2.5 million sales in 13 years since the sales tracking site Hanteo Chart revised its counting method in 2010.
