BTS's Jungkook has set a new record for Asian artists on Spotify with his single "Seven."

Released on July 14th, Jungkook's solo single "Seven" has secured the top spot on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart for the seventh consecutive week, from August 25th to 31st.

Even in its seventh week since release, "Seven" showcased its enduring popularity by garnering over 56 million streams (after filtering), an increase of approximately 2.3 million from the previous week.

Following "Seven" on the "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart were global hits like Doja Cat's "Paint The Town Red" in second place, Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer" in third, Myke Towers' "LALA" in fourth, and Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?" in fifth, underscoring the global appeal of Jungkook's track.

Furthermore, "Seven" also dominated Spotify's "Daily Top Songs Global" chart, holding the number one position for 50 consecutive days. With "Seven," Jungkook has set a new record as the first Asian artist to simultaneously stay at number one for seven consecutive weeks on the weekly chart and for 50 days on the daily chart, further solidifying his status as a global sensation.

In recent Spotify history, "Seven" achieved half a billion streams (before filtering) in a record 43 days, making it the fastest track by a male artist worldwide to reach this milestone. Within 40 days of its release, "Seven" also ranked third in the "Most Streamed Songs Globally of Summer 2023."

Previously, with "Seven," Jungkook set a global record on Spotify's global chart for the most streams by a male artist in a week, with over 89.74 million streams (after filtering), and the fastest track to reach 100 million streams (after filtering). These achievements earned him an official spot in the Guinness World Records.
