"Pawn's" first set of stills has finally revealed ha Ji Won's character in the upcoming movie.

According to Soompi, "Pawn" follows the story of a debt collector Doo Seok (Sung Doo II), who looks intimidating but is soft-hearted. One day, he collects the debt from an illegal immigrant named Myung Ja (Kim Yoon Jin), who gives her young daughter Seung Yi as collateral.

However, as Myung Ja got deported, Doo Seok is left to raise Seung Yi. Park So Yi plays the younger Seung Yi, and Ha Ji Won plays the older version of the character.

On August 10, new stills of Ha Ji Won as Seung Yi were shared. She looks content and stable, growing up under a debt collector. Her employee card and business attire could tell that she already has a professional career.

"Pawn" is Ha Ji Won's first Korean movie after four years. She is bound to show great chemistry with Sung dong II and Kim Hee Won (playing Doo Seuk's assistant). The warm story of growth and love of the leads will touch the viewer's hearts.

Ha Ji Won revealed that she cried upon reading the script. She also expressed why she accepted the role: "The audience will be able to empathize with 'Pawn' deeply. It's a film that is needed in this era."

Producing Director (PD) Kang Dae Kyu is set to direct the movie. He previously worked with Ha Ji Won in "Duelist" and "Haeundae." He shared that Actress Ha Ji Won always shows solid acting that the audience will fall for. Even when they filmed the same scene many times, she still shares happiness on the set.

Meanwhile, the award-winning actress, Ha Ji Won, is known for taking on physically demanding roles. She is known best for her portrayals in "Sex is Zero," "The Time I've Loved You," and more.

Ha Ji Won established her agency in 2013 named Haewadal Entertainment, and in the same year, she became the first Korean actor to sign with Hollywood's United Talent Agency.
