The globally renowned group BLACKPINK (Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé) is reported to have earned a staggering revenue from their massive world tour.

On September 1st (KST), the American entertainment outlet all kpop reported that BLACKPINK amassed a revenue of approximately $264.5 million (equivalent to about ₩349.93 billion) from their world tour. Neither their agency, YG Entertainment, nor the concert producers have officially released data regarding the tour's earnings.

According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK's 'BORN PINK' tour attracted around 1.75 million attendees, setting a new record for the largest tour by a K-pop girl group.

The group also successfully wrapped up their encore tour in North America, spanning five shows across four cities. They made history as the first K-pop girl group to hold two consecutive shows at MetLife Stadium. Additionally, they achieved the remarkable feat of being the first global girl group to perform at Allegiant Stadium, Oracle Park, and Dodger Stadium.

The grand finale is set to take place in Korea. On September 16th and 17th, they will be the first K-pop girl group to hold a solo concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome.

With the success of their world tour, industry insiders and music fans are keenly focusing on whether BLACKPINK will renew their contract with YG Entertainment. Since their debut in August 2016, BLACKPINK has achieved massive success with hits like 'Whistle', 'Boombayah', 'Playing with Fire', 'STAY', 'As If It's Your Last', 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', 'Kill This Love', 'How You Like That', 'Lovesick Girls', and 'Pink Venom'.

As of August this year, BLACKPINK is approaching the end of their 7-year exclusive contract with YG. No official statement regarding the renewal has been made by the members or the agency. However, when rumors surfaced about Lisa not renewing her contract in July 12th, YG Entertainment told Newsen, "The renewal is currently under discussion."
