Last year saw the meteoric rise of three sensational new girl groups - IVE, LE SSERAFIM, and NEWJEANS - that conquered the domestic music scene upon their debut. Now, with established popularity both in Korea and abroad, they're targeting the global stage.

IVE, who debuted in December 2021, kicked off the new wave. LE SSERAFIM, and NEWJEANS followed suit in May and July 2022, respectively, driving an unprecedented rookie girl group craze. All three groups became million-sellers within their first year. IVE and NEWJEANS have consistently topped the music charts with every song released. Notably, NEWJEANS set a monumental record by staying on top for 99 consecutive days.

Their popularity surged even more this year. In April, IVE released their first full album "I've IVE," boasting around 1.6 million in sales. LE SSERAFIM's "UNFORGIVEN" released in May surpassed 1.3 million, while NEWJEANS' second mini-album "Get Up," released last month, recorded over 1.65 million in first-week sales.

All three groups have been receiving positive feedback internationally and are gearing up to meet their global fans this second half of the year.

IVE was the first to break into the overseas market. In September 2022, they unveiled the Japanese version of their debut track "ELEVEN." This year, they released the Japanese versions of "LOVE DIVE" and a mini-album "WAVE" in May. They embarked on their first Asia tour from February to July, gathering an audience of over 100,000. Riding on this momentum, they're launching their first world tour "SHOW WHAT I HAVE," starting with two days in Seoul's Jamsil Indoor Stadium in October. The tour promises to be grander, although specific locations haven't been announced yet.

LE SSERAFIM has also been diligent in their overseas promotions. They released the Japanese version of their debut track "FEARLESS" last December and an English version of "Eve, Psyche, and Bluebeard's Wife" last month. Their upcoming Japanese single "UNFORGIVEN" is set for release on the 23rd. They'll also embark on a tour, starting with a concert in Seoul, followed by performances in Nagoya, Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Bangkok, spanning seven cities.

Although NEWJEANS hasn't released any official tracks abroad yet, their recent release "Get Up" claimed the top spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. All three of their title tracks have made it to the Hot 100. Among the three groups, they've seen the most success in the two major pop markets: the U.S. and the U.K. There's no news on an overseas tour yet, given their limited discography of 13 songs. However, they were the first K-pop girl group to be invited to the "Lollapalooza" festival in Chicago earlier this month and will also perform at Japan's iconic summer festival, "Summer Sonic 2023," in Tokyo on the 19th, continuing to fuel their international fervor.
