"It was the only way I could express my emotions during tough times."

Nana, who once made headlines for her full-body tattoos, confessed that she has started the removal process, heeding her mother's wish to "see her clean skin again." Tattoos that were once prominent have started to fade in various areas.

On the 14th, an episode titled 'Living Kim Momi Emerging from Ripped Comics' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night.'

During the show, Nana introduced her recent work, 'Mask Girl'. She described it as, "A story about an ordinary person with appearance complexes getting entangled in a murder case."

Addressing her appearance on the show, she commented, "I don't usually do variety shows. It's been about seven years," and shared, "I want to be completely comfortable."

Jo Hyun Ah later asked, "What do you think is your drawback?" Nana confidently replied, "I could say I'm unlucky, but I don't see any. I have high self-esteem."

Jo then pointedly mentioned, "You're undergoing hardships after impulsively getting tattoos. Aren't you removing them now?"

Nana confessed that she started getting tattoos as a coping mechanism during mentally challenging times and is now in the process of removing them. She said, "I'm getting my tattoos removed. My mother cautiously requested to see my 'clean skin' again. So, I decided to remove them. Honestly, when I got the tattoos, I was going through a lot. It felt like my unique way of expressing emotions. Some might say it was a foolish way, but for me, it was the only way. There isn't much difficulty in getting them and now removing them. As time passed and I showed a better side of myself, my mother subtly asked me to get them removed."

Nana added, "Looking back, I really feel foolish."

She continued, "When I first revealed my tattoos, it was a big deal. Many, including fans, were curious. Everyone wondered why I suddenly got so many tattoos. I thought there would be a day when I would address these questions."

Among all her tattoos, Nana finds the most significant one to be "1968" on her ankle, signifying the year her mother was born. Throughout the broadcast, she repeatedly mentioned her close-knit relationship with her parents, highlighted by a recent trip to Bali with her mother.

Lastly, Nana expressed her desire to work more as a singer, "I wanted to be active as a singer. Other members of Orange Caramel released solo albums, but I missed my timing. It hasn't been easy after that. If the opportunity arises, I'd like to sing, but it's not a must," she stated.
