The girl group NewJeans might be making an appearance at the Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree's K-pop Concert.

On the afternoon of the 7th, their agency, Adore, told StarNews, "An announcement will be coming soon from the event organizers."

Previously, another media outlet had quoted an industry insider saying that NewJeans' performance at the Jamboree K-pop concert was confirmed. That same outlet later added, "SEVENTEEN's appearance is fluid depending on the venue, and BTS might not participate as some members are approaching their military enlistment."

Originally, the Jamboree K-pop Concert was scheduled to be held at 9:40 PM on the 6th at an outdoor special stage in Buan Saemangeum, Jeollabuk-do. However, due to the extreme heat, heat-related illnesses at the venue, and safety concerns, the date was moved to the 11th and the venue changed to the Jeonju World Cup Stadium.

With the sudden schedule change, the performer lineup took a hit. Notably, as Typhoon Kanun was forecasted to pass the Jamboree campsite, the World Scout Federation raised objections. Consequently, the Jamboree K-pop Concert venue was shifted again from the Jeonju World Cup Stadium to the Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadium.

Moreover, the original production team meant to organize the Jamboree K-pop Concert couldn't continue due to the schedule changes. Although a new team was quickly brought in, there are now uncertainties being raised regarding the concert's actual occurrence.
