Just one year after their debut, K-pop sensation NewJeans has clinched the top spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and successfully wrapped up their first U.S. performance at 'Lollapalooza Chicago'. The group shared their feelings on these monumental achievements.

On August 7 (KST), through their agency Adore, Minji spoke about their mini 2nd album "Get Up" reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart (as of August 5th), saying, "I was genuinely shocked when I first heard the news. I'm deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and love from Burnies (official fan club name) all over the world. I promise to reciprocate with even better music."

Hanni expressed, "I know achieving the top spot on the 'Billboard 200' isn't easy. From our debut album to this one, it feels like the time and effort of so many people have been recognized, which makes me happy." Hyein commented, "It truly feels surreal, amazing, and I'm deeply thankful."

Danielle shared his mixed feelings, saying, "I'm filled with surprise and gratitude, accompanied by the conviction that we must do even better." Haerin expressed her determination: "I want to showcase diverse aspects of us through new music in the future."

Moreover, NewJeans, as the first K-pop girl group to perform at "Lollapalooza Chicago", recounted their thrilling experience.

Minji reminisced, "Until the moment we went on stage, I had no idea how many people had come. But the moment we started, seeing the huge crowd and our lightsticks was exhilarating." Haerin added, "The atmosphere at the concert was truly electrifying. I felt a pleasant excitement and thrill; it was a valuable experience."

Hanni remarked, "It truly felt like a dream. I got chills when everyone sang along to our songs. Throughout the performance, I felt an overwhelming energy; it was an unforgettable first festival."

Hyein said, "I was quite nervous before going on stage, but once we started, I was wholly focused on the vibrant atmosphere. Seeing everyone enjoy our music made me very happy."
