Global music sensation NewJeans garnered high praise from international media outlets following their dazzling debut performance at the massive 'Lollapalooza Chicago' music festival.

On the 4th, as per local time, esteemed British music magazine NME reviewed NewJeans' (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) Lollapalooza Chicago performance, stating that NewJeans "exceeded the lofty expectations set upon them," granting them 4 out of 5 stars.

NME continued, "The audience's cheers persisted throughout the show, growing even louder as NewJeans captivated Chicago. The heat was palpable even when they performed their interlude song 'Get Up'." They further added, "NewJeans showcased a stable performance, as if they had been entertaining such vast audiences for years. Their U.S. debut wrapped up in grand style. With more experience, no one can stop NewJeans' progress."

American renowned music magazine Rolling Stone echoed the sentiment on the 4th, declaring, "K-pop sensation NewJeans is ready for the spotlight." As their mini-album's title track 'Super Shy' played, "Bernies (official fan club name) mirrored the choreography," they noted. "NewJeans exhibited their vocal prowess with 'Cool With You' and performed all tracks from their second mini-album, even including last year's debut song 'Attention'."

Local media outlet Chicago Sun-Times reported, "A massive crowd gathered to witness NewJeans, the first K-pop girl group to perform on the Lollapalooza stage." They highlighted, "Among the afternoon performances, theirs seemed to attract the largest audience." Chicago Sun-Times further added, "When their hit 'Attention' played, fans waved rabbit-shaped light sticks, while other popular tracks like 'Super Shy' and 'ETA' evoked a 1990s R&B vibe, reminiscent of American girl groups of that era."

On the opening day of Lollapalooza, NewJeans took the stage at Chicago's Grant Park 'T-MOBILE' stage at 5 PM. Over 45 minutes, they energetically performed a total of 12 songs, drawing a 'sing-along' from an approximate 70,000-strong crowd, affirming their skyrocketing popularity.

NewJeans' mini-album 'Get Up' clinched the top spot on the U.S. 'Billboard 200' this week. They've proven their rapidly growing global influence, placing three songs from this album on the 'Hot 100' chart.
