Foreign media outlets, including CNN in the United States and Japan's Kstyle, have shown considerable interest in the romantic relationship between Jisoo, a member of the K-pop group 'BLACKPINK', and actor Ahn Bo-hyun.

On August 3, CNN reportedthat the agencies of Jisoo and Ahn Bo-hyun have confirmed their romantic involvement, a departure from the typical secrecy surrounding celebrities' relationships in Korea

The report also said that It is extremely rare for an agency to announce a K-pop idol's romantic relationship, but the industry is gradually moving away from contracts that forbid dating.

CNN reported that BLACKPINK, comprising members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé, rapidly rose to global stardom since their debut in 2016. In 2019, they became the first Asian act to headline Coachella, and last year, they were chosen as the 'Entertainer of the Year' by Time magazine, becoming the second K-pop group to win the title. The group is currently on their second "Born Pink" world tour.

Similarly, Japan's Kstyle reported that BLACKPINK's Jisoo and actor Ahn Bo-hyun have confirmed their love for each other. It appears that their relationship is characterized by mutual respect, largely due to their shared interests in acting, singing, and fashion.

Earlier, BLACKPINK's agency, YG Entertainment, had acknowledged Jisoo's relationship, stating, "They are slowly getting to know each other with good feelings. We would appreciate it if you could look at them with warm eyes." Following this, Ahn Bo-hyun's agency, FN Entertainment, also expressed, "The two have positive feelings for each other and are carefully getting to know each other. Please watch over them with a warm gaze."

Since her debut as a member of BLACKPINK in 2016, Jisoo has become a global star, releasing hit songs such as 'Whistle', 'Boombayah', 'Playing with Fire', 'DDU-DU DDU-DU', 'As If It's Your Last', 'Forever Young', 'Kill This Love', and 'How You Like That'.

Ahn Bo-hyun debuted in the entertainment industry as a model for Seoul Collection in 2007 and began his acting career with KBS 2TV's 'Golden Cross' in 2014. Since then, he has appeared in tvN's 'Greatest One-Shot', 'Yumi's Cells', 'Military Prosecutor Doberman', KBS 2TV's 'Descendants of the Sun', JTBC's 'Itaewon Class', among others. His most recent work was in tvN's 'Please Take Care of My Life in This Life', which concluded last month.
