K-pop group NewJeans is experiencing a monumental 'career high', continually climbing the major charts in the UK and the US - the world's two biggest pop markets.

NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) marked the 15th spot in the UK's Official Album Chart with their second mini-album 'Get Up', announced on the 28th (local time). This is NewJeans' first time entering the UK Official Album Chart, and the second time for any K-pop girl group.

Their hit single 'Super Shy', one of the album's triple title songs, surpassed their previous record on the UK Official 'Singles Top 100' by ranking 52nd. The song had initially entered the chart at 59th, dipped to 61st, before bounding back to 52nd, marking a three-week chart run.

Their success story continues on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, where NewJeans' popularity is gaining unstoppable momentum.

'Super Shy' reached 9th on Spotify's Global 'Weekly Top Songs' (as of July 27) and 12th on the US 'Weekly Top Songs' - the group's highest ranks yet. Their previous records on Spotify's Global 'Weekly Top Songs' were 'Ditto' at 11th and 'OMG' at 28th on the US chart.

Alongside 'Super Shy', the prologue song 'New Jeans' from the same album, pre-released on the 7th, has leaped an impressive 71 spots to 34th on the Global 'Weekly Top Songs' and a whopping 95 spots to 41st on the US chart. These represent the most significant jumps of any new entries this week.

As the album was released on the 21st, the rest of the songs have also charted. On Spotify's Global 'Weekly Top Songs', 'Cool With You' ranks 28th, followed by 'ETA' at 38th, 'ASAP' at 65th, and 'Get Up' at 86th. On the US chart, 'Cool With You' reached 33rd, followed by 'ETA' at 42nd, 'ASAP' at 82nd, and 'Get Up' at 83rd.

NewJeans has demonstrated their formidable presence by placing all six songs from their second mini-album on both Spotify's Global and US 'Weekly Top Songs'. This consistency shows that their popularity is not merely a flash in the pan. The fact that every song on the album is loved speaks volumes about the group's solid standing in the mainstream pop market.

Notably, immediately after the release of 'Get Up', all of its songs entered the Spotify Global 'Daily Top Songs' chart, with ranks ranging from 10th to 32nd in the US on the first day of release. It's the first time all songs from a K-pop girl group's album have secured spots within the top 50 of this chart.

With their continued popularity on Spotify, there is anticipation for further ranking improvements for 'Super Shy' on the Billboard 'Hot 100', and perhaps even new entries. So far, only two K-pop girl groups, including NewJeans, have simultaneously placed two songs on the Billboard 'Hot 100'. Only BTS, amongst all K-pop artists, has had more than three entries. Expectations are high that NewJeans, who just celebrated their first anniversary, will add significant achievements to the history of K-pop.

On domestic charts, a 'NewJeans vs. NewJeans' competition is unfolding. 'Super Shy' ranked first and 'ETA' second on FLO and Genie's daily charts (as of July 27). The two songs swapped places on the Bugs chart. On Melon, 'Super Shy' has maintained its top position for 18 consecutive days, while 'ETA' has been attracting attention in third place.

In terms of album sales, NewJeans is showing impressive strength. Their second mini-album has broken through initial sales (first week sales) of 1.65 million copies, marking the second-highest debut in the history of K-pop female artists within just a year of their debut.
