BTS's Jungkook has announced his decision to step on the stage of SBS 'Inkigayo', as a gesture of gratitude for his fans' unwavering support.

During a live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse on July 27, Jungkook expressed his heartfelt thanks for reaching the No.1 spot on Billboard, stating, "I am extremely happy."

He added, "I've been active in New York and London, but I've missed music shows. So I've been thinking about what to do. Coincidentally, I won first place on Billboard. I am very grateful, so I feel I must give something back." This marked his decision to appear on 'Inkigayo' airing on the 30th.

Jungkook further elaborated, "Originally, it's not something I could decide to do immediately, but it happened this week. After discussing with the company, we decided on it. I won't meet many ARMY (BTS fandom) on the show, but I'm looking forward to meeting some of you. I am really looking forward to it."

He continued, "Because this was a rushed decision, not many people can come to the stage. That's regrettable for me, but I wanted to meet you before the excitement cooled down. There will be more to come."

Regarding the upcoming show, Jungkook added, "It's been a long time since I visited a broadcast station. It's been a year. It will feel very unfamiliar. It will be fun. It seems that I will only be doing 'Inkigayo' this time. Even before, I had a set schedule, so I could only fit in Sunday in a rush."

On July 14, Jungkook released his solo digital single 'Seven'. 'Seven' is an addictive melody, a warm acoustic guitar sound, and a UK garage rhythm track. It is a passionate serenade that contains lyrics about wanting to be with a loved one all week.

'Seven' topped the Billboard Main Single Chart 'Hot 100' on the 24th (local time), according to the latest chart (dated July 29) announced by the US music media Billboard. This marks the 18th time that BTS, including Jungkook's solo work, has reached the 'Hot 100' No.1 spot. Following BTS member Jimin, Jungkook is the second Korean solo artist to record a 'Hot 100' No.1.
