It's NewJeans' time once again.

Without any local promotions, the achievements they're showing in the United States, the world's largest pop market, are astounding. The footsteps of NewJeans, who are expanding their global influence with their essential "good music," are becoming increasingly clear.

According to their agency ADOR, all six tracks from NewJeans' (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) second mini-album 'Get Up,' released on the 21st, made it to Spotify's US 'Daily Top Songs' on the day of release. The tracks were ranked as follows: 'Super Shy' (10th), 'Cool With You' (16th), 'New Jeans' (20th), 'ETA' (22nd), 'ASAP' (25th), 'Get Up' (32nd).

This is the first time that all tracks from a K-pop girl group's album have made it to the top 50 of this chart. The following day (July 22), most of the songs remained high on the Spotify US 'Daily Top Songs' chart.

Spotify is the world's largest music streaming platform, which is reflected in the US Billboard 'Hot 100' chart. It's considered a reliable indicator of global pop music trends. Especially in the US charts, it allows us to glimpse the popularity of NewJeans among local music fans, raising expectations for the records they will set in the future.

In reality, NewJeans' title track 'Super Shy,' pre-released on July 7th, made it to the chart at number 37 and steadily climbed to reach its peak at number 9 (as of July 13). Subsequently, 'Super Shy' ranked 66th on the US Billboard 'Hot 100' chart, which is NewJeans' best performance to date. It was second on the Billboard 'Global 200'.

Attention is focused on whether NewJeans will have their fourth and fifth Billboard 'Hot 100' songs following 'Ditto', 'OMG', and 'Super Shy'. Only two K-pop girl groups, including NewJeans, have ever had two songs on the US Billboard 'Hot 100' chart at the same time. Only BTS, among all K-pop artists, male and female, have had three or more songs on the chart simultaneously. There is high anticipation to see if NewJeans, who have just celebrated their first anniversary since debut, will make a significant contribution to the history of K-pop.

Their physical album sales are also positive. NewJeans' second mini-album 'Get Up' has currently sold over 1.2 million copies, rapidly closing in on the pre-order volume of 1.72 million copies. Although the sales in the US market have not yet been released, considering the heightened global stature of NewJeans in the past year, this is seen as a green light for entry into the Billboard 'Hot 100' chart.

NewJeans' music has shown greater impact over time. This was true for 'Attention', 'Hype boy', 'OMG', and 'Ditto'. In addition to this, NewJeans has announced they will embark on full-fledged overseas activities. They will take the stage at large music festivals next month such as 'Lollapalooza Chicago' in the US and 'SUMMER SONIC 2023' in Japan. These appearances are expected to further strengthen NewJeans' influence in the mainstream pop market.

In Korea, NewJeans is already sweeping the top of major charts. 'Super Shy' has maintained the top spot on daily charts such as Melon and Genie for about two weeks. The second title song of the second mini-album, 'ETA', and the prologue song 'New Jeans', ranked 1st to 3rd in Bugs for two consecutive days along with 'Super Shy', showing signs of a 'NewJeans vs. NewJeans' competition.

Meanwhile, NewJeans lifted the trophy with 'Super Shy' on SBS 'Inkigayo' broadcasted on July 23. Following the victories on MBC 'Show! Music Core' and Mnet 'M Countdown', NewJeans' music show trophy collection has begun.
