(G)I-DLE unveiled the official lyric video for their summer hit 'DUMDi DUMDi' on social media. The lyric video show clips from the MV with lyrics displayed in both Korean and English for international fans.

 

'DUMDi DUMDi' delivers a new side of (G)I-DLE with its flirty and fun cut boasting booming percussions, light Latin-pop influences, and subtle incorporation of dependable catchy whistle hook. The girls shout out their intentions to "turn up the summer" along with an easy to follow dance choreography.

 

(G)I-DLE has released summer hits in the past with their early release of the dark and sinister 'Hann (Alone)' and last year's 'Uh-Oh,' inspired by the 90s track. However, the girl group took a new direction on their latest record.

 

(G)I-DLE new single "DUMDi DUMDi" has success on international charts in iTunes, with the single being on the number one spot in numerous countries. Countries include Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Malaysia, Philippines, Poland, Hungary, Israel, Peru, Portugal, and many more.

 

'DUMDi DUMDi' also tops the charts in domestic waters with the single on Bugs and Naver Music and being in the fourth spot on Genie. Moreover, (G) I-DLE's single surpassed five million views within five hours of its release. 'DUMDi DUMDi' has 46 million views on Youtube as of the moment.

 

'DUMDi DUMDi' was composed by (G)I-DLE member, Soyeon, and composer Pop Time, and it's a dance track packed with summer vibes and rounded out with a tropical moombahton rhythm. The song has an addictive melody, energetic choreography, and the lyrics shout out summer and youth.

 

 (G)I-DLE is a multinational girl group signed under Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of members of Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The group debuted on May 2, 2018, with their EP release of "I Am" and its lead single 'Latata.' A year later, (G)I-DLE debuted on Japan under U-Cube with 'Latata.'
