The Korean Entertainment Management Association (KEMA) has publicly addressed the ongoing FIFTY FIFTY saga.

On July 18, KEMA expressed regret over the situation FIFTY FIFTY and their agency ATTRAKT, led by Jeon Hong-jun, are currently facing, despite their substantial accomplishments in a short time since debut. KEMA hopes for a swift and harmonious resolution, curbing any further social ripple effects.

KEMA voiced concerns over the escalating severity of the situation, as the involvement of unsavory external forces is setting off warning signals in the entertainment activities of FIFTY FIFTY, causing social confusion and considerable repercussions. The Association emphasized its hope for a more reasonable industry structure and development, pledging to strive towards the improvement of related systems and principles to prevent any further unseemly incidents.

The Association also highlighted its readiness to take a proactive stance if the discord between ATTRAKT and the FIFTY FIFTY members continues and illegitimate external forces continue to cause social ripples. KEMA stressed that not only its member companies but also related organizations will unite to strongly resist disruptive forces that harm the foundation of the industry.

Lastly, KEMA sincerely hopes that the current situation will remain a transitional phenomenon in the industry's development and changes. It reiterated its plea for ATTRAKT and FIFTY FIFTY to find a smooth resolution and make a quick return to normal entertainment activities.

Last month, ATTRAKT raised suspicions of external force intervention related to the incident of a FIFTY FIFTY member's departure and filed a lawsuit against three individuals, including An Sung-il, the representative of The Givers, Inc.

In response, TheGivers declared they had no involvement or connection, promising a strong legal response to the false charges and continuous spread of false facts by ATTRAKT via the media.

FIFTY FIFTY members, on the other hand, have also filed a petition for an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of their exclusive contract with ATTRAKT at the Seoul Central District Court on June 19th, continuing the conflict.

The Korean Entertainment Management Association (hereinafter referred to as 'KEMA') deeply regrets the current situation faced by ATTRAKT (Representative Jeon Hong-jun) and its affiliated group FIFTY FIFTY, who have achieved significant results in a short time since their debut, even under challenging circumstances. We sincerely hope that both parties will find a harmonious resolution as soon as possible, preventing any further spread of social disruption.

Representative Jeon Hong-jun of ATTRAKT, who has created miracles as a small and medium-sized planning company, is renowned in the industry as a diligent and creative planner. In particular, the girl group FIFTY FIFTY, which he discovered and molded with tireless efforts, has been evaluated as a role model in the entertainment industry, once again placing K-POP at the center of global culture through their amazing performances, including entering the Billboard charts in the United States, the homeland of pop.

However, due to the interference of impure external forces, warning signals are being lit in the entertainment activities of the ATTRAKT-affiliated group FIFTY FIFTY. The severity of the situation is rapidly escalating, causing social confusion and significant disruptions, making it a hot topic across the entertainment industry.

As a body striving to ensure that workers and artists in the popular culture and arts industry can coexist in a healthy and proper system, KEMA cannot overlook this situation any longer and will keep a close eye on the direction of this issue in the future.

Moreover, KEMA sincerely hopes that the logic of power based on capital will not become the dominant logic in the entertainment industry. We will strive to prevent any further unpleasant incidents by improving related systems and establishing principles for a more reasonable structure and development of the industry.

Furthermore, if a harmonious resolution is not achieved between ATTRAKT and the FIFTY FIFTY members and the logic of illegitimate external forces causes social ripples, KEMA will take a more proactive stance. Not only our member companies but also related organizations will join forces to strongly resist disruptive forces that harm the industry's foundation.
