The unexpected friendship between actor Park Bo-gum and Q of the group THE BOYZ is surprising fans. This revelation surfaced when Q joined the Ice Bucket Challenge at the nomination of Park Bo-gum.

Q from THE BOYZ posted a video of his participation in the '2023 Ice Bucket Challenge' through the official SNS on the 12th, encouraging fans to participate in the meaningful challenge.

In the video, Q revealed, "I was nominated by actor Park Bo-gum and got to participate in the '2023 Ice Bucket Challenge,'" adding, "Your warm attention is needed until a hospital for Lou Gehrig's disease is established. Please cheer for the construction of the first Lou Gehrig's care hospital in Korea," and got soaked with ice water.

Following this, Q nominated WEi's Kang Seokhwa, choreographer Baek Gu-young, and Sunwoo, a member of THE BOYZ, to continue the challenge.

The 'Ice Bucket Challenge' in which Q participated is a relay donation campaign to help patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) and their families. This campaign, which began in 2014 and spread worldwide, is conducted by someone wanting to participate posting a video of pouring ice water over their head within 24 hours on SNS and nominating three next challengers to continue the donation.

THE BOYZ, to which Q belongs, met their global fandom 'THE B' by expanding their performance locations to Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and more during their 'Second World Tour: ZENERATION' held at Seoul's KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) last May.

Park Bo-gum is making his musical debut in 'Let Me Fly,' running from September 26th to December 10th at the Yes24 Stage in Daehak-ro, Seoul. He is also appearing in 'Fooled by Chopsticks', a new work by author Im Sang-soon, alongside IU, an original Netflix series.
