Noted for her diverse talent pool, K-pop star Chungha has been conspicuously absent from the music scene following her split from MNH Entertainment, stirring questions among fans about her current activities and location.

Despite her recent absence from the limelight, Chungha continues to maintain close ties with her fanbase, the BYULHARANGs. Read on for an update on the current life of the charismatic soloist.

Kim Chungha, better known as Chungha, rose to prominence as a contestant on the reality show "Produce 101," representing MNH Entertainment. Her humble persona, remarkable singing abilities, and unmatched dance skills quickly earned her the public's attention, and she finished in fourth place, paving the way for her membership in the project girl group I.O.I.

I.O.I won over audiences both domestically and internationally with their popular tracks such as "Very Very Very," "Dream Girls," "Miss Me?" "Pick Me," and more. However, due to their limited contract terms, the group was disbanded on January 29, 2017.

Following the disbandment, Chungha embarked on her solo journey under MNH Entertainment, debuting on June 7, 2017, with her first mini-album "Hands on Me," and its title track "Why Don't You Know." With successive hits like "Roller Coaster," "Love U," and "Gotta Go," she steadily built a loyal fanbase.

Chungha's multifaceted artistry shone through in dance-centric pop tracks such as "Snapping," "Stay Tonight," "Play," "Dream of You," "Bicycle," "Killing Me," and "Sparkling."

However, on March 29, MNH Entertainment announced Chungha's decision not to renew her contract, which ended on April 29. "We are informing you that Chungha, who made her debut in 2016 and has been a member of our team for seven years, will have her exclusive contract expire on April 29, 202," the agency disclosed.

In a heartfelt message to her fan café, Chungha addressed the situation, expressing her regret over the delay in the release of "Bare&Rare Part 2."

"I had no choice but to patiently wait, until it was officially declared by the agency, and then reached out to BYULHARANG (fandom name)," she said.

So, what is Chungha's current situation? According to numerous online posts, Chungha continues to engage actively with her fans on her fan café. She shares song recommendations with her fans and receives their favorites in return, ensuring a constant dialogue with her fandom.

Her recent posts on June 19 reveal her enjoying time with her pets, Aran and Bambi, and sharing snippets of her daily life, such as studying for a Korean history exam. Despite her withdrawal from the public eye, Chungha's bond with her fans remains as strong as ever.
