Actress Choo Ja-hyun and f(x) member Amber are gearing up for their second act in China.

On May 5, Choo Ja-hyun appeared on the Chinese MangoTV survival audition program 'Win the Wind 2023.' 'Win the Wind 2023' is the fourth season of the hit Chinese survival audition series, featuring 33 female celebrities over the age of 30 competing for a chance to re-debut.

Choo Ja-hyun, who rose to stardom in China after starring in the 2011 Chinese version of the drama 'Temptation of Wife' called 'Temptation of Going Home,' said, "It's been over 10 years since 'Temptation of Going Home.' I had a lot of support from the viewers back then, and I think I can relive that experience again by participating in this show."

Additionally, Choo Ja-hyun expressed her determination for the idol challenge, saying, "Although 'Temptation of Going Home' had high ratings and was loved by many, I couldn't enjoy it due to my personality. But now it's different. Through this program, I will enjoy the stage and feel my youth once more."

Her first stage performance was set to the OST of 'Temptation of Going Home,' creating an emotional atmosphere. After finishing her performance, she tearfully shared her feelings, saying, "I think I was nervous," as she looked at the 'Temptation of Going Home' cast members present in the studio.

Choo Ja-hyun received support from fellow contestants and viewers alike for her genuine attitude and stories on the show. Her appearance on 'Win the Wind 2023' is garnering attention in Korea as well, as she became a star in China and married Chinese actor Yu Xiao Guang, with whom she appeared on the popular SBS show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams.'

Amber also joined this season of the show. Footage of her active days with f(x) was released, and Choo Ja-hyun mentioned Amber's past activities during a personal interview while also cheering for her from the contestant seats. Amber, who was f(x)'s main rapper, performed her song 'No More Sad Songs' in Chinese, captivating the audience with her passionate dance moves and exceptional skills as a solo singer.

Amber said, "I wanted to challenge myself," and "I think this program will be a great opportunity to try new concepts and have a good challenge." Amber ranked second in the competition that day. Future episodes will feature the contestants' dorm life and team battles, drawing attention to the upcoming competitions.

This isn't the first time Korean celebrities have participated in the 'Win the Wind' series. In previous seasons, Fei and Jia from Miss A and Jessica from Girls' Generation appeared on the show. Jessica successfully re-debuted as a girl group member after ranking third in the competition last season. With this in mind, there are high expectations for Choo Ja-hyun and Amber to achieve impressive results in the competition and launch new activities as a girl group in China.
