Singer Lim Chang-jung's schedule has been affected by the cancellation of some events due to stock manipulation suspicions.

On May 4, a representative from Lim Chang-jung's side told TV Report, "Lim Chang-jung's appearance schedule for the '2023 Bonghwangdae Music Square' has been canceled," and added, "It's not his active period, so he didn't have many schedules anyway."

Regarding the cancellation of the '2023 Bonghwangdae Music Square' appearance, the representative stated, "In the case of events, artists have to be selected, and the decision on the lineup is entirely up to the organizers."

Lim Chang-jung was initially invited to perform at the '2023 Bonghwangdae Music Square' lineup, which is scheduled for May 12th. However, his name has been removed from the event's poster. Singers So Chan-whee and Park Mi-kyung will fill his spot.

The Gyeongju Cultural Heritage Foundation, which is organizing the '2023 Bonghwangdae Music Square', explained to multiple media outlets that they decided to change the lineup because "the suspicion about Lim Chang-jung (regarding stock manipulation) has not been resolved yet."

Lim Chang-jung has been embroiled in controversy after it was revealed that he was involved in the recent 'SG Securities stock crash' incident. He had invested 3 billion won in a stock manipulation group, which then used his investment to buy 8.4 billion won worth of stocks through credit purchases.

In response to this, Lim Chang-jung claimed, "I had almost no experience in stock investment. I was also a victim." However, his credibility has been damaged due to the continuous reports of him attending events hosted by the stock manipulation group, videos of him making statements that seem to promote investment, and the fact that he accompanied the stock manipulation group on overseas golf trips.
