2PM's Taecyeon will finally return as an actor as tvN confirms that he will appear in the drama "Vincenzo." (via Soompi)

A source from the agency of Taecyeon, 51K, has confirmed on July 30 that he will take the role of Jang Jun Woo in the upcoming tvN drama "Vincenzo." Reports circulated that Taecyeon will play a part as a handsome and intelligent intern at a legal firm. He comes from a middle-class family and is polite, innocent, and hardworking, but he falls into trouble because he often makes mistakes at his job.

The new project will be Taecyeon's first drama since "The Game: Towards Zero," which concluded in March. The show "Vincenzo" will unveil a story of an Italian lawyer and Mafia consigliere Vincenzo Cassano, whose Korean name is Park Joo Hyung, adopted by an Italian family when he was young.

In the story, Park Joo Hyung will move back to Korea and fall in love with a lawyer named Hong Cha Young. According to reports, Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin are eyed to play Vincenzo Cassano and Hong Cha Young.

The writer of "Good Manager" and "The Fiery Priest"- Park Jae Bum, will pen the script of "Vincenzo" and will be directed by the director of "Money Flower" and "The Crowned Clown"- Kim hee Won. The drama is rumored to air in early 2021.

Taecyeon is the main rapper of the boy group 2PM, from Massachussettes, he auditioned in JYP at age 17 through his sister's urging. Then, he was chosen as one of the 35 finalists invited to Korea to continue the competition.

Furthermore, he became one of the twelve finalists to compete with the reality show "Superstar Survival" but was the first act to leave. In 2008, as he joined the reality show "Hot Blood Men," it gave him a part of the 2PM group, which debuted in the same year.

Finally, he debuted in acting in 2010's "Cinderella Sister" that opened doors for him to star in more dramas and reality shows.
