As the group VICTON effectively disbands, member Choi Byung-chan has released a handwritten letter.

IST Entertainment announced on April 20 that the exclusive contracts of VICTON members Do Han-se, Choi Byung-chan, and Jung Su-bin have expired. They explained, "As a result of in-depth discussions with the members for a long time ahead of the contract expiration, we mutually respected each other's opinions and came to this decision." Furthermore, they revealed that due to military service, the exclusive contract periods for recently discharged Han Seung-woo and Kang Seung-sik and Lim Se-jun, who are currently in the military, have been partially adjusted and they will remain under IST Entertainment for the time being.

Choi Byung-chan shared his handwritten letter through his Instagram account, saying, "Many thoughts and emotions came and went as I wrote this letter. I kept thinking about what to say and how to say it, writing and erasing it hundreds of times."

He continued, "I was truly happy during the seven years since 2016 and received so much love. I learned how to love ALICE, our fans, not only receiving love but also giving it back. Because of this, the time we spent together was so precious and unforgettable. Thank you and love you, ALICE, who loved us throughout this long time. And I'm so grateful to the company staff and crew who were always with us."

Choi Byung-chan added, "Now we're walking separate paths, but it's not a sad farewell; it's another beginning for our VICTON members to become even cooler. I will always support and love you. I'll be back soon with good news. Be careful not to catch a cold. Until now, I was VICTON's Choi Byung-chan."

Meanwhile, Choi Byung-chan debuted as a VICTON member in November 2016. He gained renewed attention by appearing in Mnet's audition program "Produce X 101" with fellow member Han Seung-woo. He also appeared in dramas such as 'Live On,' 'Love Affairs in the Afternoon,' and 'The Office Blind Date.'

Choi Byung-chan's Handwritten Letter:

Hello, this is VICTON's Choi Byung-chan. While writing this letter, many thoughts and emotions came and went, wondering what to say and how to say it. I kept writing and erasing it hundreds of times. During the seven years since 2016, I was truly happy and received a lot of love. I learned how to give love to ALICE, not just receiving it. Our time together was so precious and unforgettable. Thank you and love you, ALICE, who loved us throughout this long time. I'm also grateful to the company staff and crew who were always with us. Now we're walking separate paths, but it's not a sad farewell; it's another beginning for our VICTON members to become even cooler. I will always support and love you. I'll be back soon with good news. Be careful not to catch a cold. Until now, I was VICTON's Choi Byung-chan.
