The entertainment industry is in deep sorrow as Moonbin, a member of the popular K-pop group ASTRO, has suddenly become a star in the sky. The shocking news has left fans and colleagues devastated.

Moonbin was found deceased at his residence in Gangnam, Seoul, on April 19 at around 8:10 PM (KST). He was only 25 years old. His manager discovered him and reported the tragic news to the police. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of death as a potential suicide, considering an autopsy as well.

The memorial service for Moonbin has been set up at the 3rd floor, Room 30, of the Seoul Asan Hospital funeral hall. His family, including his father, mother, and younger sibling Billy Moonsua, are in attendance. The funeral procession will take place on the 22nd at 8 AM. In accordance with the wishes of the family, the funeral will be held quietly with the attendance of family members, colleagues, and company employees.

The sudden news of Moonbin's passing has left fans and colleagues in disbelief. Just last month, Moonbin completed a concert in Seoul with ASTRO's subunit Moonbin & Sanha, and on the 8th, they successfully wrapped up a concert in Bangkok, Thailand. Moonbin was also scheduled to perform at the 29th Dream Concert at Busan Asiad Main Stadium next month and had plans to hold concerts in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, meeting with local fans.

The industry insiders were also caught off guard by the tragic news. One official told Sports Chosun, "He didn't seem any different from usual while working on his schedule." Just before the news broke, the organizers of Moonbin & Sanha's Jakarta concert scheduled for May had to announce the sudden cancellation. They stated, "With a heavy heart and after much consideration, we have had to cancel the event due to an unavoidable emergency."

Fantagio, Moonbin's agency, has also released a statement: "On the 19th, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left our side and became a star in the sky. Although we cannot compare our grief with that of the bereaved family who had to part with their beloved son and brother, we at Fantagio, along with all ASTRO members and fellow artists and employees, are mourning his loss deeply."

The agency also addressed the fans, saying, "We are heartbroken to deliver this sudden news to all the fans who have shown unwavering love and support for Moonbin. We know how much he loved and cared for his fans, and this makes his passing even more tragic."

Moonbin's younger sibling, Moonsua, is also experiencing immense grief. As a member of the group Billy, Moonsua was scheduled to appear on MBC Plus's "Show Champion" live broadcast on the day of Moonbin's passing. The heartbreaking news was equally devastating for her. She is now mourning alongside her family at the memorial service.

ASTRO members are also in deep sorrow. Cha Eunwoo, who is currently in the United States for his schedule, Jinjin, who is in the middle of practicing for a musical, Yoon Sanha, who recently participated in unit activities with Moonbin, MJ, who is serving in the military, and Rocky, who left the team after his exclusive contract expired in February, are all expected to visit the funeral hall soon.

It is particularly distressing that Moonbin passed away at the young age of 25, and there is an outpouring of sympathy. The news is even more painful as it brings to light the mental anguish he may have been experiencing during his life. However, his music and the memories he shared with his fans will live on in their hearts forever.

The entertainment industry is urging everyone to show consideration for Moonbin's family and friends during this challenging time. Many fellow artists, both in Korea and internationally, have expressed their condolences on social media, remembering Moonbin for his talents, kindness, and dedication to his craft.

Fans have also taken to social media to pay tribute to the late artist, sharing their favorite moments, songs, and performances. They've also created a hashtag, #RememberingMoonbin, which has gone viral, with millions of fans joining together in remembrance and support.

In light of the tragic event, mental health awareness has once again become a topic of discussion within the entertainment industry and among fans. Celebrities and fans alike are encouraging each other to seek help when needed and to remind one another that they are never alone in their struggles.

Moonbin made his first connection with the entertainment industry in 2006, appearing as a young member of TVXQ in the 'Balloons' music video, and later played actor Kim Bum's childhood role in the 2009 drama 'Boys Over Flowers'. Moonbin officially debuted with the group ASTRO in February 2016, marking the beginning of his entertainment career.

As a main dancer in ASTRO, Moonbin showcased his elegant dance skills and captivated global fans with his charming, husky voice as a sub-vocalist. Through ASTRO's activities, he received praise for refreshing concept songs such as 'Call', 'Going to Find You', 'Baby', 'You Blow In', 'After Midnight', and 'Candy Sugar Pop'. Additionally, as part of the Moonbin & Sanha unit, he delivered mature and sexy atmospheres with tracks like 'Bad Idea', 'Ghost Town', 'After', and 'Madness', revealing a surprising charm.

Earlier this year, Moonbin & Sanha showcased their third mini-album 'Incense', and Moonbin stated, "I will make an effort to show various aspects as a unit, individually, and as a group," promising active activities in 2023. Fans ultimately express their heartache for Moonbin's unfulfilled dreams and continue to mourn and remember him.

Moonbin's passing has left an indelible mark on the K-pop world and his fans. Though he has transformed into a star in the sky, his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him.
