In today’s music era, the fact of the K-pop music scene rising across Asia is undoubtedly significant. K-pop is a musical genre with songs produced and composed by multi-talented artists from South Korea.
According to Hellokpop, BLIP, an international viewership issuer of the K-pop clip, K-pop is among the most viewed and streamed genres in Southeast Asia. The figures show Indonesia and Thailand with a chart-topping 2.62 and 2.15 billion views each.
Moreover, in the released data of K-pop’s Creative Content Agency, it resulted that Southeast Asia as the continuing and rising market for K-pop finishing ate the third rank. The show is co-run by Bang Si-Hyuk of Big Hit Entertainment, the agency responsible for BTS. ‘I-LAND’ aims to look and train aspiring K-pop idols who will vie for the spot with twenty-three other contestants [KProfiles].
JOOX allows the fans to vote for their picks and even grab the chance to win exclusive prizes. The show’s current season will end on July 31, followed by the second season’s premiere on August 14.
