BLACKPINK has taken the stage as the first K-pop group to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, USA.

On April 15th (PDT), the group made their appearance as headliners at the renowned festival. After performing as sub-headliners in 2019, BLACKPINK returned to grace the stage as headliners four years later, marking a first for K-pop artists at Coachella.

The group performed a string of hit songs, starting with their pre-release track "Pink Venom" from their 2nd full-length album, followed by "Kill This Love," "How You Like That," "Pretty Savage," "Kick It," and more.

Solo performances by the individual members also shined. Jennie received a warm response with her unreleased new song "You And Me," while Jisoo captivated the audience with a dreamy performance of her globally popular recent release, "Flower." Rosé's "Gone" and "On The Ground" and Lisa's "Money" performances were also fueled by the members' exceptional live vocals.

In addition to these tracks, BLACKPINK performed numerous global hits such as "Boombayah," "Playing with Fire," "Lovesick Girls," "DDU-DU DDU-DU," and "Forever Young." As expected from the "YouTube Queens" beloved worldwide, fans sang along to many of their songs, creating a fiery atmosphere.

The members expressed their gratitude and excitement, with Rosé stating, "Our dream came true." Jennie added, "We're happy to be back here after four years. It's even more special to go from the Sahara (sub-stage) to the main stage."

BLACKPINK thanked the audience for a night they would "never forget," and the crowd responded enthusiastically. Fans waved pink light sticks symbolizing the group, and a large South Korean flag was spotted in the front rows of the audience.

Rolling Stone praised BLACKPINK's performance, writing, "BLACKPINK dazzled the stage as a historic headliner at Coachella." The YouTube live chat was also filled with rave reviews, such as "BLACKPINK dominated Coachella," "The stage was amazing," and "BLACKPINK has become an absolute legend."

However, a domestic music critic expressed disappointment, stating that BLACKPINK's performance was similar to their usual concerts and lacked innovation.

BLACKPINK will return to the Coachella stage on the 22nd and is set to make history once again as the first K-pop act to headline the UK's iconic "Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival" in July. Their ongoing world tour, "BORN PINK," will continue with additional North American stadium concerts until August.
