South Korean entertainment powerhouse, YG Entertainment, has officially unveiled its new girl group, BABYMONSTER. Comprised of seven gifted members - Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita - the group is set to make their debut this year.

Unveiling BABYMONSTER to the World On December 30, 2022, YG Entertainment shared a poster captioned "YG Next Movement," marking the formal introduction of the seven-member group. A brief YouTube video followed on New Year's Day, amassing 15 million views within just three days.

The video included appearances by members of WINNER, BLACKPINK, sibling duo AKMU, dancer and choreographer Leejung Lee, and label founder Yang Hyun-suk. The introduction of BABYMONSTER, coupled with the announcement of G-Dragon's potential solo return, led to an 11.74% peak in the label's stocks.

Through a series of live performance videos released from January 12, the seven members were presented to the public. In only 52 days since its launch on December 28, 2022, BABYMONSTER's YouTube channel exceeded one million subscribers, demonstrating rapid growth even before their official debut.

Public Perception and Growing Anticipation YG Entertainment has cultivated a "high-teen" image for BABYMONSTER, which sets them apart from the label's previous female acts. However, the group retains the charismatic elements typically associated with the label. BABYMONSTER is regarded as an "all-rounder" group, as each member excels in vocals, rap, and dance. They have also been dubbed "elites" by the media and public, showcasing their proficiency in multiple languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Thai, and Chinese.

Their recent performances on the "Last Evaluation" survival program further showcased BABYMONSTER's talents and potential, heightening anticipation for their debut.
