Following Ravi's recent departure from VIXX due to a violation of the military service act, Jellyfish Entertainment provided an update regarding the group's future, offering insights into the remaining members' plans.

Ravi's Departure Leaves VIXX Fans Concerned for Group's Future

Many K-pop fans, particularly Starlights (VIXX's fandom), have been eagerly awaiting a full reunion of the second-generation boy band. However, the likelihood of a complete comeback has become more uncertain with Ravi's exit.

On April 11, Ravi received a two-year prison sentence for faking epilepsy to avoid active duty service, thereby breaking the military service act. In an official statement, Ravi admitted to forging medical records to delay his military service and apologized to those hurt by his actions, especially his fans.

Ravi announced his decision to leave VIXX, stating:

"I decided to leave the team so that the VIXX members who were affected by my mistake would not suffer any more damage. I sincerely thank all the members for being with me for 11 years, and I sincerely hope that I will no longer cause them any more pain."

Ravi's departure comes after Hongbin left the group following a controversy involving inappropriate remarks about fellow K-pop groups, including artists from SM Entertainment.

Jellyfish Entertainment Reveals VIXX's Plans

With only four members now remaining, K-pop fans have expressed concerns about VIXX's future. However, the group's next steps may not be what people anticipate.

On April 13, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that VIXX will hold a fan concert in Taiwan on April 29 for the second time. Leo, Ken, and Hyuk, excluding N, previously held a concert in Taipei in March, but due to popular demand, they will return to the country, this time in Kaohsiung.

The "2023 VIXX Leo-Ken-Hyuk Fan-Concert 'ING: As Always' in Kaohsiung, Taiwan" is scheduled for April 29, with fans eager to see what kind of performance the trio will deliver.

Despite the controversies surrounding Ravi and Hongbin, the remaining members' dedication to providing fans with exceptional performances has resonated with their audience. The trio has gained significant popularity in Japan and Taiwan.

Jellyfish Entertainment's announcement suggests that the group will continue as a three-member unit for now, as N has chosen to focus on his acting career and will not be promoting with VIXX.

In January, VIXX Leo-Ken-Hyuk began promoting as a trio with the release of the digital single "Gonna Be Alright." Upon release, the song charted in the iTunes Top 10 in 13 countries, including the United States, Europe, and Asia, and topped the iTunes K-pop charts in Spain, the Netherlands, and Italy.
