On April 13, Karam from Team 23:00(KST), a contestant on JTBC's 'Peak Time,' took to Instagram to express his thoughts and feelings about recent events.

Controversy emerged after an anonymous user posted past photos of Karam's personal life, including images of him "partying at clubs," "visiting adult entertainment establishments," and "smoking," even in front of fans. In response, Karam and his fellow Team 23:00 members apologized to their fellow contestants for the controversies on the April 13 broadcast of JTBC's 'Peak Time' and announced their departure from the show.

Karam also penned a letter to his fans on Instagram, apologizing for the misunderstandings and promising to return soon. The former D.G.N.A boy group member wrote:

"Hello, I'm Karam. First of all, thank you for your patience in waiting so long to hear from me. I apologize for causing concern. Apart from the facts of the controversy, I recognize that I've caused a lot of frustration for the many people involved in the program. I've been discussing with the other members for some time about how to best take responsibility for this.

After much consideration, I have decided to step down from 'Peak Time.' All of these controversial materials were recorded at different times, in different places, with different people present, and I'm sorry for causing misunderstanding. I feel frustrated and hurt, but our group members have always stood by me and believed in me. Others who have continued to support and encourage us have given me strength and consolation.

Thank you again for those who have continued to support and encourage us. I will cherish you all in my heart for the rest of my life and will repay your trust and support by returning in the future as a better version of myself.

I have learned many lessons and gained many insights from this incident. Once again, I am sorry, and thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read this message."

JTBC's boy group survival program 'Peak Time' airs every Wednesday night at 8:50 PM KST.
