Actor On Joo-wan is set to return to television with the upcoming drama "Moon Rising at Noon."

According to a Sports World report on the 12th, On Joo-wan will appear in the new drama "Moon Rising at Noon," which is scheduled to air on ENA this year.

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, "Moon Rising at Noon" is a romance-fantasy historical drama. The story revolves around a man stuck in time and a woman who continues to move forward. On Joo-wan was offered the role of Han Min-oh, the object of Kang Young-hwa's unrequited love and the older brother of Han Joon-oh.

"Moon Rising at Noon" centers around ordinary college student Kang Young-hwa, her crush Han Min-oh, and his younger brother Han Joon-oh. The story unfolds when Han Joon-oh awakens from death. The drama is set in both the present day and the Three Kingdoms era with Do-ha and Han-ri-ta.

The original webtoon, which depicts the conflicts and love between Silla noble Do-ha and the daughter of a Gaya general, Han-ri-ta, has accumulated more than 700 million views since its serialization began in 2013. Due to the webtoon's popularity, there has been much interest in the drama's casting. Kim Young-dae is currently in talks to play Do-ha, and Pyo Ye-jin is discussing the role of Kang Young-hwa.

On Joo-wan has showcased his diverse talents across various genres, including the films "Ballet Academy," "Honest Candidate 2," dramas "Pretty Ugly," "Penthouse," and musicals "Those Days" and "Hourglass." In particular, he surprised viewers as the "real Joo Dan-tae" in "Penthouse" Season 3.

With "Moon Rising at Noon," On Joo-wan is preparing to return to drama nearly two years after "Penthouse" Season 3. Last month, he announced that he had signed an exclusive contract with Haewadal Entertainment, home to stars like Ha Ji-won and Kim Jun-ho, and recently completed filming for the movie "Two Hearts." Fans are excited to see what transformation the actor will undergo in his upcoming project.
