Mnet's 'Kingdom' will not be televised this 2020 due to problems with both the casting and the condemnation of its preferential treatment in Mnet's Comeback War Variety.

It is doubtful that 'Kingdom' will be aired during the second half of 2020 due to some issues, according to an exclusive article of Ilgan Sports on July 29. (via Koreaboo)

One of these concerns is the roster. The production staff now has to reform their line-ups many times since, contrary to 'Road to Kingdom,' they are working hard to keep their line-up hidden. The 'Road To Kingdom's' CP Park Chan Wook said that when they televised the 'Road To Kingdom,' several of the casts line-ups were revealed in advance, so they will now try to prepare it more cautiously.

Nonetheless, when recruiting teams for a program like this, it is incredibly challenging to keep the information secret. In reality, speculations have circulated among the groups that will perform in 'Kingdom.' Their companies have obtained many questions regarding the legitimacy of the claims. Another problem was how Mnet shows favoritism, notably on the 'Road to Kingdom,' with the boy group TOO.

Before their debut, TOO competed with PENTAGON's five-year seasoned band. Recently, TOO realized how its public profile has boosted, perhaps because of its appearance.

The same dilemma is once again emerging for the 'Kingdom' artists roster, where teams of auditioning participants are expected to undergo in the program. There are reports that many allegations have been made about the priority given groups that are invested by CJ ENM.

The last issue is that 'Road to Kingdom' was not as good as 'Queendom,' its predecessor. Although 'Road to Kingdom' was viewed extensively by supporters of the show's bands, the general populace did not recognize it. Companies are worried that 'Kingdom' will take the same route in viewer statistics as 'Road to Kingdom.'

Because of the complexity of the series, performers had to deal with a lot pressure as they compete with other idols. Companies also had to convince their talents to participate in the series, and firms were obliged to pay for their high-quality production cost.
