Singer Jisoo has released a new song as part of her solo project from the popular group BLACKPINK.

On March 31st at 1 PM KST, Jisoo released her first solo single 'ME' on domestic and international music platforms. This single marks Jisoo's solo debut after seven years as a member of BLACKPINK. The album title 'ME' represents Jisoo's intention to showcase her unique color as an artist and alludes to her inherent beauty.

The single 'ME' features two tracks, 'Flower' and 'All Eyes On Me.' Renowned producer Teddy from the group 1TYM, who has worked on numerous BLACKPINK hits, teamed up with other hitmakers like Vince and RT to support Jisoo's solo debut.

The title track 'Flower' is an addictive dance song with a unique bass sound and minimal arrangement. Jisoo's distinct husky voice delivers the song's poetic lyrics with emotional intensity.

The music video for 'Flower' was filmed on location in the United States. According to YG Entertainment, the video had the highest production budget in BLACKPINK's history. The film camera captures Jisoo's ever-changing charms and dance moves inspired by flowers and butterflies.

The second track, 'All Eyes On Me,' is also receiving much love from fans upon its release. The song features an upbeat drum sound, real guitar and bass, and a captivating lead line.

Before the release of her new songs, Jisoo already made a significant mark in K-pop history. With over 1.31 million pre-orders for the physical album, Jisoo became the first female K-pop solo artist to achieve million-seller status. The album sales, global music charts, and YouTube views are all expected to set new records.

Jisoo's successful solo debut adds a brilliant finale to BLACKPINK's solo projects. Since their debut in 2016 with their first single 'SQUARE ONE,' BLACKPINK has become a leading female K-pop group, topping domestic and international charts with every release.

In addition to their group activities, the members have pursued solo projects since November 2018, starting with Jennie's single 'SOLO.' Rosé released a single 'R' with two tracks, 'On The Ground' and 'Gone' in March 2021, while Lisa released her single 'LALISA' in September 2021, leaving meaningful milestones in K-pop history.
