South Korean singer and actress Kim Sejeong, who has recently been raising a lot of praise for her role in "A Business Proposal", has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

The news was officially announced by the celebrity's label Jellyfish Entertainment. The star, who is at present recovering in self-quarantine, has temporarily halted all her activities, as well as delayed an upcoming fan meeting "Sejeong's Sesang Diary", which was initially scheduled for March 26.

Jellyfish Entertainment released a statement saying that the scheduled fan meeting will inevitably change its schedule as a result of the recent turn of events.

The label mentioned that they will be following up with more detail related to this matter via a different announcement. The agency asked the fans to understand the situation and wait for the rescheduled fan meeting. They also apologized to all the fans who had been waiting eagerly for the event.

Jellyfish Entertainment stated they will be ensuring the prioritization of the star's health and safety and ended the note with an apology for creating concern.

On a better note, Kim Sejeong has completed the shooting of her SBS drama "A Business Proposal", so her current quarantine period is unlikely to impact the broadcast schedule of the show.

In addition to providing information related to the status of her fan meeting, Jellyfish Entertainment also confirmed that the actress received her positive test result on March 22 after undergoing a rapid antigen test as a pre-emptive test and finally being diagnosed with a positive result through PCR testing.

The label mentioned that the artist is fully vaccinated and had received her second COVID-19 immunization shot, and is now in self-quarantine to put focus on recovery.

The star's recent 12 episode K-drama "A Business Proposal" became viral after numerous Kpop artists, including BTS's Jungkook and SEVENTEEN's Hoshi, said that they watch the series.

The romantic comedy is based on a popular webtoon revolving around an office employee who goes out for a blind date with the CEO of the company that she works at. The role of the CEO Kang Tae Mu, who has everything on his plate, is played by Korean-Canadian actor Ahn Hyo Seop.

Kim Sejeong portrays the part of Shin Ha Ri, an ordinary food researcher, who goes on a blind date instead of her best friend. The series has earned great appreciation and positive ratings for the comedy as well as the awesome chemistry between the lead actors.
