Golden Child's Jaehyun has been revealed to have contracted the COVID-19 virus, his managing label confirmed.

On December 17, Thursday, Golden Child's Jaehyun has tested positive for COVID-19. Following the news, Woollim Entertainment officially made a press release statement regarding his result and current health state.

The agency revealed that Bong Jaehyun did not participate in any external and leisure activities aside from film shooting.

The label assured that all staff who made close contact with Bong Jaehyun had been immediately tested to avoid further transmissions if infected. Bong Jaehyun, who is reported to be COVID-19 positive, has shown no symptoms this day but is advised to undergo self-quarantine to avoid further virus transmission and observe the symptoms to get appropriate treatment.

Moreover, Jaehyun is currently being instructed by health authorities on what he should do following his positive results. Following the unfortunate events, Woollim Entertainment took the precautionary measures of disinfecting the establishment and the form where other Golden Child members are residing.

Projects, shootings, and media guesting of Bong Jaehyun will be temporarily canceled once the young idol is cleared from the virus and cleared from health assessments. As for other Golden Child members' COVID-19 test results, Woollim Entertainment will update the fans and public once it is out and ready.

Woollim Entertainment is asking for fans' understanding of the COVID-19 results of Jaehyun and promised the management would prioritize the health and safety of its artists and staff. However, fans still are worried as numerous K-pop idols and actors are acquiring the virus from attending film shootings and events.

Some fans are taking it on social media to send their speedy recovery wishes for Golden Child's Jaehyun. The idols are yet to respond to any of the fans' concerns on social media up to date.
