Gaon Chart has officially released K-pop groups' names to receive the 'Official Million Certification' today.

On December 10, Thursday, Soompi reported that Gaon had announced K-pop groups' names as its latest batch to receive the certifications. A new certification system has been implemented where music released on or after January 2018 will now receive platinum recognition if they reach 250,000 sales, while albums distributed a million copies will obtain a 'million' certification. 

Today, Gaon Chart officially awarded BLACKPINK's 'THE ALBUM,' NCT's 'RESONANCE PART 1' and, SEVENTEEN's 'Semicolon' the official million certifications for successfully selling over a million units each.

Moreover, TXT's 'minisode1: Blue Hour' and TWICE's latest comeback album 'Eyes Wide Open' were granted the certified platinum certification for over 250,000 sold units for each album. Meanwhile, various solo artists also have received recognitions from the Gaon Chart. 

For download category, which features Yang Da Il's 'Sorry' and Jannabi's 'For Lovers Who Hesitate,' which gained 2.5 million downloads, each, have received platinum certifications.

Furthermore, Jang Beom June's 'Your Shampoo Scent in Flowers,' which was the official song track for JTBS's 'Melo Is My Nature,' gained a certificate of double platinum for having over 200 million streams.

Many K-pop groups and solo artists in the K-pop scene got the recognition they deserved by being on the list of various awarding ceremonies this year. Idols and musicians deliver their speech of gratitude by awarding shows and promising them to give their best on their upcoming projects.
