SM Entertainment announced on November 4 that NCT member Jisung would not be performing with the group because of a knee injury. The company stated that Jisung injured his knee during the group’s choreography rehearsal and is currently receiving treatment.

The record label put the final verdict to make the K-pop idol rest for a while as he cannot perform excessive movements such as dance performance in his current state.

SM Entertainment disclosed the reason with Jisung and has completely agreed that he should focus on getting in shape for the time being. The company has asked the fan’s understanding, and making their artists healthy again is their top priority.

Previously, the 2020 Asia Artists Awards confirmed on October 30 that NCT would be attending the event on November 25, including all 23 members of the group. It is most likely that the group would be performing a song from their album “RESONANCE Pt.1” at the award show.

Meanwhile, NCT has been successful from their comeback as Billboard reported that the group’s album ‘RESONANCE Pt. 1” has debuted at number six on the Music Chart’s Top 200 Albums as it is one of the most popular albums in the United States.

According to Billboard, “RESONANCE Pt. 1” has racked up 43,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on October 22. The album’s total score consisted mainly of 40,000 traditional album sales and nearly 3,000 streaming equivalent albums.

NCT is the second K-pop act to lead Emerging Artist this year, followed by its subunit, NCT DREAM, in May.

The NCT 2020 project will consist of two parts: The full album “NCT 2020: RESONANCE Pt. 1,” which is set to debut on October 12, and “NCT 2020: RESONANCE Pt. 2”, released right after the near unseeable future. The group’s upcoming album will feature 12 tracks and will have double tracks such as “Make a Wish” and “From Home” will all 23 members present.
