“Savage Love” featuring BTS, Jason Derulo, and New Zealand DJ Jawsh 685 reached the top spot at Billboard 100. However, the African-American rapper has received backlash from ARMY after snubbing the K-pop idol group and the New Zealand-based DJ.

In a Twitter post from Jason Derulo, the hashtag #JasonDerulosOverParty began trending on the social platform that follows the song’s recent number one spot on the Billboard charts.

After that, a TikTok video was posted with the “Whatcha Say” singer and his friends celebrating the success of “Savage Love.” However, ARMYs immediately noticed that BTS and Jawsh 685 were not given the Billboard chart-topper remix's proper credit.

With that said, ARMYs quickly triggered and rant Jason Derulo for not giving the proper credits for the success of “Savage Love” on Billboard.

An ARMY posted on Twitter saying, “Savage Love was out almost five months ago but never charted #1 hot 100 bb charts until BTS remix version came out. Let that sink in, Jason Derulo.”

While another BTS fan stated that, “Let’s get one thing straight, the only reason you hit #1 was BECAUSE of BTS, so you might wanna put some respect on their name and take a seat.”

After the surge of negative comments online, Jason Derulo posted another video on Twitter. This time, the co-collaborators were tagged and with a caption that says, “Wish BTS and Jawsh 685 was here for the celebration! We did it! #1 on the Billboard chart! Savage Love.”

However, ARMYs were displeased by this effort as BTS fans stated that it was already too late for the rapper, and he will be on the BTS blacklist from now on along with Melanie Fontana and Charlie Puth.

ARMYs compared Jason Derulo to past collaborators of BTS as a fan posted a clip from Halsey on social media. The Halsey clip states that “being involved with BTS is an intimidating thing because you know the power of the ARMY, and you know how protective they are and rightfully so.”

“Because this band has been taken advantage of in many ways, people promising them spins and radio play in exchange for social media power because the fanbase knows what they can accomplish,” Halsey stated.
