JYP Entertainment confirms girl group TWICE’s comeback along with a full-length album in October.

The agency confirmed TWICE’s comeback via social media with a caption “TWICE OF OCTOBER” with the girl group’s calendar schedule. The tweet includes a timeline of the group’s plan for their return, leading up to their second album release on October 26, 2020.

As such, TWICE plans to celebrate precious time for their fans, ONCE, by releasing a commemorative video from October 5 to October 9 for the group’s fifth anniversary on October 20, ahead of schedule. Along with the four videos of the first week of October, the girl group will celebrate their milestone by releasing a mysterious event on October 7.

According to the agency, TWICE will return to the music industry as the group prepares for the “Eyes Opening Week” starting October 11, during which the teaser content for the new album will hit the market. ONCEs speculate that TWICE’s upcoming album will have a Halloween-theme as it comes before the said holiday.

TWICE’s upcoming album comes four months after the release of their EP titled “More & More,” which broke the record for the highest first-day sales for a Korean girl group at that time, and its the group’s best-selling album yet.

Meanwhile, TWICE’s EP “More & More” recorded over 550,000 sales on Gaon, making it not only the girl group’s best-selling album but also the best-selling girl group in the country for 20 years.

The EP debuted at number 200 on the Billboard 200, making TWICE the fourth South Korean girl group to enter the chart, after Girls Generation, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK. The girl group also entered the Billboard Artist 100, debuted at number 96.

TWICE is a globally popular South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment in 2015. the group consists of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. TWICE first debut on October 20, 2015, under the television program “Sixteen” with their EP “The Story Begins.”
