The Boyz’ latest release is making waves on music charts all over the world!

The twelve-member group, The Boyz, on September 21 at 6 p.m. KST, made their highly-anticipated return with their new mini-album “Chase,” featuring the title track “The Stealer.” The release notably marked their first comeback since winning Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” earlier this year.

“The Stealer,” upon its release, immediately rose to the top of multiple domestic real-time charts: the new song hit No. 1 on Bugs, No. 3 on Genie, and No. 5 on Melon. Additionally, all six tracks of the mini-album made it onto the charts, which shows a strong indicator of the group’s rise in popularity. As per Hanteo Chart data, “Chase” also managed to break The Boyz’s record in just three days for first-week album sales.

Regarding the performance of the new release in the international stage, its accompanying title track also soared to the top of iTunes charts in various countries worldwide. And in less than 24 hours after its release, “Chase” had already reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least nine different countries. This includes Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Netherlands.

The Boyz’ Win On ‘Road To Kingdom’: A Recap

Back on June 18 this year, The Boyz emerged the final winner of the idol competition program “Road To Kingdom.” The show aims to give lesser-known boy groups a chance to battle for a spot on Mnet’s “Kingdom”—the highly-anticipated second season of last year’s hit show “Queendom.” The Boyz has now been confirmed for the lineup of “Kingdom,” scheduled to premiere later this year.

A combination of votes determined the show’s winner during the final live broadcast. Votes from the international fans through the Whosfan app accounted for 30 percent of the live broadcast score, and domestic text votes accounted for the remaining 70 percent.
