Big Hit Entertainment has officially updated fans and confirmed some modifications to the upcoming concert of BTS.

The company initially reported that BTS would hold an online and traditional live performance with a small handful of offline seats available to buy. That being said, Big Hit Entertainment clarified on September 25 that due to the continued transmission of the disease, the live show is expected to be held exclusively online.

Their official statement stated that the BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON: E would be performed digital, disregarding the first announcement regarding the traditional concert.

As said by Big Hit Entertainment, they were already planning extensively about the offline show. They would like to open an opportunity for the fans and the band to meet and greet each other in person despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

But because of the unavoidable transmission of the virus, they decided to cancel the offline concert, even being in full compliance with the government's health protocols to ensure the artist's and fans' health.

Aside from the virus, the South Korean government recently tighten the social distancing protocols restricting mass gatherings and public events that include traditional face-to-face concerts and live performances. This made the offline concert plan even harder to conduct.

Big Hit Entertainment sincerely apologized and asked for everyone's understanding as the BTS members also would like to push through to this activity to see them, but cannot because of the deadly virus.

"BTS MAP OF THE SOUL ON: E' will be conducted digitally without an asynchronous (in-person) portion for such possible explanations brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and Government strict protocols. We'd also like to make an apology to all the fans who were looking forward to the live performance in person." (via Soompi)

Big Hit Entertainment concluded their statement by asking the fans to continue loving and supporting BTS.
