Shin Min Ah finally came back to star in a big screen in the upcoming movie "Diva," after six long years!

From her last romantic comedy film, "My Love, My Bride" in 2014, this is her major come back to a big screen although she has been gracing her acting in numerous TV dramas like "Oh My Venus," Chief of Staff," and "Tomorrow With You."

"Diva" a mystery thriller movie about the two best friends, Yi Young (played by Shin Min Ah), who is a world-class and award-winning diver athlete and also called "Diva of the Diving World," and Soo Jin (played by Lee Yoo Young), her best friend. The two got into a mysterious car accident, which made Lee Young struggle with losing memory or partial amnesia and her madness when her best friend Soo Jin got missing.

Shin Min Ah portrays a character who suffers in dealing with the trauma after the terrible accident and getting back to her former renowned life.

As she appeared in an interview, she shared what attracted her the most in accepting the project about the two female main leads is the excellent story they portrayed. "Diva has a strong record as a thriller movie but contrasting to the characters' sensitivity and complicated emotions.

The actress saw an implied meaning behind the plot and story of the film. The drama "Diva" boasted a female-led powerhouse, from the lead actresses to Jo Seul Yea as the director and production house of CEO Kim Yun Mi of Studio Oral, a rare sight male-dominated film industry in South Korea.

Shin Min Ah shared that she prepared enough to portray her role as Yi Young and put her whole being from head down to toe to preparing the film. She also said that standing on a diving board 10 meters above the ground while everyone watched her made it strange yet an exceptional experience. She added that despite portraying a mysterious plot with two strong and spirited female characters, she felt that the film's delicate emotions and relationships' complexity are the moments that viewers could relate.
