Actor Kwon Sang Woo, who once found success with Stairway To Heaven, was accused by a reporter who operates a YouTube channel, Kim Yong Ho, Entertainment Team Leader.

As a longtime major entertainment writer, with nearly 400,000 followers, his platform has now become a reliable source of so much information and gossip. The writer casts suspicions on Kwon Sang Woo, calling him out for gambling allegations. (via Koreaboo)

He said Kwon Sang Woo was confirmed to have been rolling the dice at a private casino in Chungdamdong in 2005 alongside gagman Shin Jung Hwan. Shin Jung Hwan was detained for the operation at the time, as gambling is punishable by law for South Koreans, but Kwon Sang Woo managed to get off.

Kwon Sang Woo's firm, Su Company, decided to step forth to comment to media outlets after the journalist disclosed this on his Youtube channel on September 20th. DongA News was informed by the agency that it was a ludicrous statement and that it was false.

On several other shocking stories, particularly AOA's harassment controversy and Seo Ye Ji and Kim Soo Hyun relationship speculation, these stories were all published by the same YouTube Channel operated by a journalist mentioned above.

The agency also says that after discourse about how to progress, they will take appropriate action. Kwon Sang Woo is currently married to Son Tae Young, former Miss Korea, and present starlet. They have a daughter and a son.

Kwon Sang Woo's Previous Controversies

Kwon filed a lawsuit in 2006 toward Kim Tae-chon, the godfather of Beomseobangpa (one of the third biggest crime groups in Korea), for intimidating him when the star struggled to fulfill his promise to hold a Japanese fan gathering.

Kwon and the accused ultimately came to a peace accord. Still, prosecutors sought to investigate potential links between Kkangpae and Japanese and Chinese crime syndicates pursuing money in the Korean Wave entertainment industry.

Marriage Controversy

Because of his spouse's past dating history, there had been a fan resistance to his 2008 wedding. Kwon stated, "After I got hitched, the number of members in my fan cafe decreased from 240,000 to 135,000-it was like a global financial meltdown," in an interview on a television program anchored by Kang Ho-dong in 2009.

He also said he had an average of 7 TV advertisements a year before he decided to get married, but by early 2009 that amount had shrunk to zero.
