On September 11, SuperM appeared on KBS’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” as guest performers.

The group leader, Baekhyun, introduced the group by saying that they are the seven members from SHINee, EXO, and NCT that first debuted overseas. He also noted that they released a new song and came to perform for their Korean fans. When asked about the leader, Baekhyun responded that he was chosen on the spot, maybe because he is the oldest.

“Understanding,” “respect,” and “tenacity” are the three critical traits chosen by Baekhyun of being a leader. He said that there are lots of people in high positions at [SM Entertainment], and as the leader, he has to express his group’s opinions to the agency. He pointed out that It is essential to speak clearly without being embarrassed or awkward, and he should have tenacity as a leader.

Taemin added that he feels terrible for Baekhyun because he ends up getting scolded if he speaks on behalf of the group. “But he’s a good leader.”

Furthermore, Yoo Hee Yeol also mentioned Baekhyun’s “million-seller” solo album earlier this year. Baekhyun shared that he’s pleased, and his parents were so proud that he felt like all the work he’d put in until now was worth it. Baekhyun expressed that he is so grateful to the fans that he wants to repay them with good music.

Regarding Lucas stint on “Sketchbook,” he said he is not familiar with Korean TV programs, but he watches Yoo Hee Yeol on TV. Lucas shared that he asked the manager, and he was explained regarding the show.

Jokingly, Yoo Hee Yeol asked, “How does it feel to meet a star?” but Lucas made everyone laugh by commenting, “You’re not that old.” Yoo Hee Yeol then asked, “He’s saying I look young, right?” With a laugh, Baekhyun added that this is only possible because it’s Lucas.

Meanwhile, the recently injured Kai shared that he is currently recovering. He shared that he was injured as he was working on SuperM’s album and his solo album simultaneously. But the injury is not severe, he said, and he will soon recover.

“I feel sorry to the members, but I also need to take care of my TV coverage.” Taemin quipped that Kai does whatever he wants to do. Kai continued and said that he feels like he wanted to dance with them when he sees the members dancing.

Later during the show, SuperM performed their new tracks, “100” and “Tiger Inside,” as well as their concert’s unreleased track, “Dangerous Woman.”

Ten and Lucas then performed WayV’s “Bad Alive” a little, and Mark showed off a rap he had written himself, while Taemin played piano and sang Golden’s “Hate Everything.”
