On September 5, a special “Zombie Detective” episode was staged on KBS’ “Immortal Songs.”

The upcoming drama of KBS’ “Zombie Detective” is about a zombie on his second year of resurrection and becomes a detective searching for the truth from his past.

The titular zombie detective is Kim Moo Young, played by Choi Jin Hyuk, who spent years behind the mountain trying to mimic that human attributes and still struggles to adapt to his new life while also having a hard time coexisting with humans. Kim Moo Young will then meet Gong Seon Ji, played by Park Ju Hyun, a writer for an investigative journalism TV show, and they will team up together.

Meanwhile, the seven lead actors from the drama “Zombie Detective” prepared a song to compete for head to head on the music show “Immortal Songs.”

In the pre-show interview, Choi Jin Hyuk shared how he prepared himself for the zombie role. He revealed eating raw intestines and raw chicken. Kim Shin Young shared that becoming a singer is not his dream, but he wanted to make some music since he was young. He came to Seoul, and 14 years later, he is now on “Immortal Songs.”

The first to perform was Im Se Joo. She sang “Is Anyone There?” by Han Young Ae. Im Se Joo sung OSTs for some dramas such as “Moon Is Setting” and “Moon Embracing The Sun” under her stage name Heora.

Next was Ahn Se Ha, who sang “Things We Took For Granted” as a message for comfort to those who are having a hard time from COVID-19. While Tae Hong So sang “Lonely Night” of Boohwal and Lee Jung Ok sang “You Have a Crush on Me” by No Brain.

With YB’s “Peppermint Candy,” Choi Jin Hyuk showed off his vocal prowess. Lastly, Ha Do Kwon, who graduated from the Department of Vocal Music at Seoul National University, sang “The Fight” by Im Jae Bum. Park Ju Hyun performed Jaurim’s “Magic Carpet Ride.” (Via Soompi)
