If IU isn't the exact representation of angel on earth, then we don't know what is!

She has long been established for her extremely generous contributions, with a total of over $1.25 million since March 2020 in her lifetime contributions. She is doing it once again this summer. It has been confirmed that the artist has provided 4,600 pairs of ice vests all over South Korea to all the hardworking healthcare workers. (via Koreaboo)

IU's overall value to the community chest in the form of the usable clothing item amounts to around 100 million KRW. An ice vest is a helpful tool, particularly as Korea is currently experiencing a swelteringly hot summer. Staff who have to work outdoors under the hot summer sun on duty to administer and follow up on patients with coronavirus and those under isolation will wear the vests.

This is particularly important at this point as medical and volunteer workers in South Korea are now apparently facing a new kind of challenge. As many patients frequently make ludicrous demands to be met, such as picking up certain things from their far-flung homes or demanding special restaurant meals.

The generous act isn't the first instance IU has made a significant contribution internationally to the crisis at hand. Initially, she had also contributed around 200 million KRW for the February coronavirus disease outbreak.
