"Private Life" is a drama about con artists who use their skills and techniques to disclose the nation's secret. The new series sets in the current age where people steal and falsify their private lives.

Cha Joo Eun (played by Seohyun), is a swindler who looks like a lovely and innocent woman yet scams many people to get by in life. The actress knew that she wanted the project and her role when she read the script the whole day. She was very excited that she forgot about the time passing.

As she described her character in the drama, Cha Joo Eun is very confident, very initiative, realistic, action-oriented, and can objectively observe her situation. Scamming seems natural and became part of her as she grew up in a world full of lies and scams. She also saw her parents do scam other people. But behind positive qualities, she finds hard trusting other people, a defense mechanism that stems from her. And when it comes to love, she is very fragile.

Seohyun focused on Cha Joo Eun's master of disguise, to prepare for her con artist role. She revealed that she read books and watched documentaries to learn about different jobs. The actress also added that she carefully chooses her clothes based on the emotions she portrays and in every changing situation. And as she considers Cha Joo Eun's talent to make people believe in lies, she tried her best to bring out the parts of herself that are more similar to Cha Joo Eun because she did not want to feel like she was copying.

Moreover, Seohyun also shared the characters of her co-stars. She revealed that Go Kyung Pyo playing as Lee Jung Hwan is an actor who is great inside out. She continued that the actor always shows respect on the set, which helps her ease nervousness. As Jung Bok Gi, Kim Hyo Jin is friendly and creates good vibes before their filming, but as they start on set, her eyes change. In the drama, Seohyun said that Kim Hyo was very charming, charismatic, and elegant. The actress added that Kim Young Min (plays as Kim Jae Wook), Park Sung Keun (as Cha Hyun Tae), and Song Sun Mi (as Kim Mi Sook) also brings a lot of fun on set.

Lastly, Seohyun shared her hopes that the drama could help the viewers think deeply about the truth and not forget who they are in the world where some deceive one another. She was also hoping that through the drama "Private Life," people can forget the real world's difficulties even for a moment and enjoy its refreshing scenes and thrills.
